Available spots
Course Outline
Explore the art of intaglio printmaking through a modern, sustainable twist using Tetra Pak materials. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll be introduced to the fundamentals of printmaking, including a brief overview of different printing techniques before focusing on a contemporary interpretation of intaglio. You’ll learn how to prepare and etch your own design into recycled Tetra Pak surfaces, creating textured plates that hold ink and produce rich, expressive prints. Depending on your pace, you may even have the opportunity to create more than one etched plate. Once your design is complete, you’ll use a traditional etching press to bring your image to life—transferring your design onto paper and revealing the final printed result. This workshop is suitable for beginners and curious creatives alike. No prior printmaking experience is required—just a willingness to experiment and get a little hands-on and messy. Intaglio ink is sticky, so please bring an apron or where old clothing. Expect a tactile, process-driven session that blends traditional techniques with contemporary, sustainable materials. All materials are provided.
