Course Outline

A great drawing starts with learning to really look. This beginner-friendly workshop introduces the fundamentals of observational drawing through a carefully arranged still life, giving you the opportunity to slow down, sketch and build confidence with every mark. We'll touch on the basics of composition, perspective and mark making, but the focus is on practice rather than perfection. Through a series of simple exercises and a guided still life drawing, you'll learn how to observe proportion, simplify shapes and translate what you see onto the page. All materials are provided.
