Course Outline

Swap dinner and drinks for ink and carving tools. In this relaxed date night workshop, you'll be introduced to the basics of lino printing as you design, carve and print your own unique artwork. You'll learn how to transfer a simple design onto a lino block, safely use carving tools, and hand-print your finished image onto quality paper. Along the way we'll cover the fundamentals of relief printing, including positive and negative space, carving techniques and inking methods. No experience is needed—just bring your favourite person (or come solo) and enjoy an evening of creating something by hand. You'll head home with your carved lino block, a collection of hand-printed artworks, and the skills to keep printing long after the workshop. Perfect for a First Date, Anniversary, Friend Date or Girls Night. We'll supply all materials, a complimentary drink and some nibbles. You may even get a bonus puppy cuddle from George the studio dog.
