Course Outline

Step into a relaxed, social Friday night experience designed for connection, creativity, and fun. This is not your average paint and sip. Its abstract art with zero pressure. Our Date Night Abstract Acrylic Class invites you to explore your creativity through expressive, free-flowing painting—no experience needed and no “paint-by-numbers” in sight. You’ll be guided through a short, approachable introduction to composition, mark making techniques, and colour palette theory before diving into your own unique abstract artwork. Starting with an underpainting, we'll work out a guideline composition, test our colour palettes and then start building up colour. I'll be there to guide you if you need, and studio dog George will be there for emotional support cuddles. Expect a welcoming atmosphere with complimentary drink, nibbles, and plenty of space to unwind, connect, and create. Perfect for first dates, long-term couples, girls’ nights, friend catch-ups, and anniversary celebrations, this experience is designed to break the ice and spark conversation in a fun, low-pressure environment. Don't forget we are ideally located for you to keep the night going by heading downstairs to Si Paradiso or explore Beaufort Street café strip for a full night out. Tickets are sold on a per person basis (two tickets will be needed for a couple). All materials, including your canvas, are provided. Please bring an apron if you are concerned about paint on clothes. As the paint will be wet at the end of the night you are welcome to leave your works in the studio to dry and collect them at a later date.
